Mixed-Age Classes

  • Weekly In-Person Classes -  Our main location is at the Creative Music Center, 366 W. Main Street, Hendersonville. We also have classes on Wednesday mornings for residents of Durham Farms at the neighborhood Farmhouse, and we have opened up a 4:00 and 5:00pm class on Wednesday afternoons in Gallatin at the brand new Scouts Learning Pod.

  • We continue with safety measures for our in-person classes. These measures include enhanced cleaning of instruments/props and hand sanitizer/wipes available at all times. 

  • Class Materials - Enrolled families will receive their hard copy of the Semester Song Collection and CD and a download code for the Song Collection. 
  • Uncle Gerry! - Access to musical videos of our very own Uncle Gerry. Exclusively for enrolled families.
  • Downloadable Family Resources - Coloring pages, musical games, etc available on the Family Music Zone®.
  • UPDATED - Music Together® APP - to stream your Music Together tunes anywhere, anytime!
  • Unlimited Make Up Classes!

 

   Rhythm Kids® CLASSES  

Rhythm Kids®  is our music, movement and drumming program that helps children complete the pathway of early childhood music development from ages 4 to 8 years old. Children dig deeper and gain a richer understanding of how music works. Rhythm Kids® is the natural first step towards learning an instrument. Kids learn rhythms and songs, dances and drumming patterns from cultures around the world. Enjoy age-appropriate ways to play rhythm instruments (shakers, tambourines, etc.)

  • Explore traditional drumming patterns through animal names and movements.
  • Experience drumming, song and dance from around the world (Mali, Puerto Rico, Turkey, etc.)
  • Develop skill in improvising, soloing, conducting, composition, and improvisation.
  • Participate in active musical games that are both enriching and totally fun!

Tuition Includes:

  • Weekly In-Person Classes -  We offer 45 minute classes each week.

Is my baby too young for Mixed-Age Music Together classes?

 Babies have already been listening and responding to music, language, and other sounds for as much as half of their lives before birth.  A child is never to young to hear and respond to music and language.

Mixed Ages

Children ages birth through preschool.  Infants, toddlers, and preschoolers participate at their own levels in family-style classes of mixed age children along with their parent/caregiver.  

 Rhythm Kids® Class

~Music Together Rhythm Kids is the answer to "What's next for my child?"! The Rhythm Kids program is the "next step" offering for 5-6-and 7-8 year-olds whether they are Music Together veterans or new to the program. You'll recognize many of the elements of mixed-age classes and the same philosophical points, but there are many new elements to a Rhythm Kids class that help children complete their path to Basic Music Competence and lay the foundation for Basic Music Literacy.  Classes are 60-minutes long and prepare children for basic music literacy with a more sophisticated, structured approach using music and movement activities that are developmentally appropriate for this age group—as well as all the features of Music Together that families love.
